Horsey News

Alrighty so this past weekend the barn had a schooling show and this time I was back to working with Donnie Dark O the giant Percheron. [link]
I have to say this guy has a lot of heart and always tries his best and awfully sweet! I worked with him for about a week trying to get him into shape and bringing him back into the lesson program. For some added luck I thought he would like to have his mane braided up in a drafty sort of way so I braided his mane up with roses and I have to say he looks so elegant! I was so proud of him!!! He really proved himself that day such an angel!

So we entered into some halter classes and I was quite surprised he was so well behaved. I am not really accustomed to a halter class or to showmanship so it was interesting and I have to say well worth it too!

Halter and Showmanship Classes:

Donnie received a first place in Gelding Halter Class.
He also received overall Grand Champion in his halter division.

A fifth place in a combined halter class.
A first place in showmanship.

On the Flat, Open English Classes:

A second place in walk, trot, canter pleasure.
A first place in walk, trot, canter equitation.
A first place in walk, trot, canter, horsemanship pattern.

Over Fences:
A third place over 4 cross rails.
A second place over 8 cross rails.
And to conclude Donnie also won overall high point in the Open English Division.

I am so proud of him he is so sweet! He really worked hard this week and defiantly deserves all the love and attention he was later given many, many carrots, apples, love and pets. ^_^”””

Non-Horsey News

Alrighty so I still have many many pictures to upload and edit from my summer trips to the national parks. I am also currently working on those as well. I also am currently in a drawing class this semester and I am really loving it and having a blast. I have 3 works to edit and post up here as well along with some sketches and my paintings from my summer painting class. I hope to have those up this week too along with responding to loads of comments and deviations from other artists so sorry for the delay I hope to be more on track soon!
